✘ THE PRESETS ✘

✘ ZEBRA KATZ (NYC) ✘
Fresh on the scene and taking both the fashion and hip hop worlds by storm, openly gay New York rapper, ZEBRA KATZ (USA), returns to Oz after sold out club shows in early 2013. ✘ WORLD’S END PRESS ✘

……plus exxxtremely special guest DJs….
✘ RAF DADDY of THE 2 BEARS (UK) ✘
One part of deep house duo, The 2 Bears, RAF DADDY, met his brother-bear counterpart, Joe Goddard (HOT CHIP) through a party scene that culminated around the legendary Greco-Roman parties and Inside-Out (thrown by Basement Jaxx). They’re two men who know enough about house music to make it effortlessly. Two men who – thankfully – still believe in the redemptive power of the communal dancefloor experience. Q: What’s the magic, that makes one night legendary, and another just a bad hangover? The answer is Raf Daddy!
✘ STEREOGAMOUS (SYD) ✘
Pretty much the ultimate Australian/gay DJ duo, STEREOGAMOUS are Paul Mac (an entity in his own right), and Jonny Seymour (Seymour Butts). They’ve remixed everyone from Kylie to George Michael, and they’re also behind Sydney’s 18-year-strong queer party Club Kooky.
✘ DJ SVETA (SYD) ✘
From Sydney’s fiercest club nights through to the underground parties that line New York City’s sub-cultures and beyond, DJ SVETA has been socking it to audiences fresh from behind the decks for almost two decades. Not only does she rule the clubs, she’s also a recurring fixture on fashion runways, as Music Director for Alex Perry, and has recently forayed into producing tracks & remixes with Amanda Palmer, The Carry Nation and Garçon Garçon.
✘ GAVIN CAMPBELL ✘
It would be fair to say that in the early ‘80s to late ‘90s, GAVIN CAMPBELL was revered in the clubbing community as the ultimate tastemaker, having created several influential clubbing icons; Razor, Tasty and Bump! Arguably, the first person in Australia to play House music in a club, Gavin is widely regarded as the Godfather of Melbourne club culture, if not, Australia. Come on, the bloke co-produced Australia’s first international club hit, the everlasting anthem “Treaty” by Yothu Yindi, and in 1991, collabbed with Kylie Minogue on her ’91 “Rhythm of Love” Tour. Fast forward to the year 2013, where Gavin packs the dance floor each week at Melbourne’s iconic Poof Doof, as musical director and resident DJ. The Godfather is in the house for Confetti. It was a no-brainer.
✘ YO! M.A.F.I.A. ✘
Easily the most in-demand DJ in town, YO! M.A.F.I.A. has supported everyone from Salt’n’Pepa to Snoop Dogg, Lady Gaga to Missy Elliott, and far too many more to mention.
Just this week, M.A.F.I.A. put pen to paper on a record deal, so you can expect even bigger things to come from this already notoriously B.I.G. partymachine!
✘ DJ KITI ✘
A mainstay at all the best queer club nights, DJ KITI is a music-obsessed fashionista who’s worth her weight in sonic gold. Starting seminal club nights ROXY (7 years) and LOUD (Honkytonks, 4 years), djing alongside techno and house music’s global finest, and giving the room a total work-over at gay club nights JOHN, POOF DOOF, DANCETERIA, HANDLE BAR (Syd), HOUSE OF MINCE and MINCE MEAT (Syd) warehouse parties. DJ Kiti guarantees to bring the sexxx to the confetti-soaked floor.
✘ THE SWEATS ✘
THE SWEATS is Composer, Sound Designer, Producer and DJ, Pete Goodwin. He’s one of the resident DJs at JOHN, a regular guest at Trough Faggot Party, and has played Loose Ends and Hot Rod in Sydney. In his previous incarnation as RED LIGHT DISCO, he was resident DJ at Tuff Muff and Bimbo Deluxe, was a regular feature at Witness Protection, created a mash-up album for Festival Mushroom Records, as well as playing at Sydney Mardi Gras, NY Fashion Week and on JJJ Mix-Up. 2014 looks to be even sweatier for Mr. Goodwin: he’s landed the role of Composer in Residence for MTC, and he’s kicking the year off with us. Respect.
✘ FLETCH ✘
Straight Outta Sunshine, FLETCH, has been DJing since she was using a fake ID. Having supported Lil B, Riff Raff, Action Bronson & 100s she is considered to be a based force to be reckoned with. Hip Hop Hottie co-head honch and a presenter of Triple R’s Golden Syrup, there’s not many hours spare for Fletch. She loves slurpees and chopped and screwed songs but her favourite thing in the world is Drake.
✘ DJ PEOPLE ✘
DJ PEOPLE are lovers. Of good music, quality gay times, and of eachother. The pair, made up of Ben O’Connor and Guy Blackman, have been at it for decades. They’re always deep in the eye of the storm of Melbourne’s music scene, releasing records for 21 years (!) on their label Chapter Music. You can expect a disco drenched eclectic set from these handsome gents.
With all this and more, spread across two rooms, CONFETTI is destined to be the biggest party of the queer calendar year, and you’re gonna wanna be there when the confetti drops! Click ‘attending’, stay tuned for further announcements, and get your tickets quicksmart.
